Stainless Steel Tab Washers are very popular and can be used for a vast range of applications due to its corrosion resistance properties.
Our BS5814 range are designed to prevent the washers and the nuts from rotating in situ. The tabs on the washers are designed to lock over the edge of the mating part with the assistance of a predrilled hole within the assembly. The double tab which sits opposite the single tab are also bent up in situ upon assembly by the operator which results in the nut locking securely in place.
BS5814 Stainless Steel tab washers may be used in environments subjected to high temperatures or in environments with heavy vibration making them an ideal locking washer for these particular conditions.
